Deepertruth: Be strong be a man practicing Lent and reading St. Timothy

The gospel given to us has to be nearly 2,000 years old, founded by Christ and commissioned by Christ to go to all the nations teaching them the gospel. This is the Catholic Faith, to deny the Pope, the bishops, the clergy, and all the teachings handed down from Christ to His Apostles would be a serious sin. Just like the Lord resisted the devil in the desert, we must resist him when he comes challenging you.

Lord, Jesus, give us the strength to resist the devil as you did so long ago.

The Devil will certainly want you to miss Massso anytime you feel that you are getting weak, trust in the Lord with all your heart. This is a great prayer to recall during such times:

“Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.”

The Lord is Our Shepherd, and there should be nothing else we should want. All that we have is a gift from Him.

Let us be faithful to Him and renew the Covenant with Him at each Mass!
