Decorate Your Castle-Using your love of Design to give back

Decorators and designers help their communities out by volunteering to work with programs like Deserving Decor founded by Beth Baker. They work with the Bucks County PA. Housing Group  to clean, furnish and decorate 57 transitional living spaces using donated funds, furnishings, household goods and home decor. Totally volunteer, Deserving Decor lends a hand to provide a warm and inviting space for families living in transitional housing while they rebuild their lives. Beth Baker will be with me to talk about how she has used her decorating skills to give back, and discuss her new project Trash to Treasure for Habitat for Humanity to help out deserving families in her county . She is a shining example of the way the design community can give back through decor. And who knows? Maybe she will spark others to start a similar program in their communities.
