Is there anything wrong with supporting negative media,if it doesn't affect you?

In a time where media is so prominent and forever evolving, I wanna talk about entertainment media. One of the questions I have, is If there's anything wrong with supporting negative media, even if it doesn't affect you? Also, in general, does entertainment media influence people, or merely entertains? Kids have access to music unlike ever before, with headphones in their ears even in school and in class. Do the things they listen to, affect them? Are we seeing behaviors of adults that are reflective of reality shows or soap opera's? Le'ts talk about the impact of entertainment media, and how it affects people. Is it different today than it was yesterday? If we can come to a consensus that it is more influential, let's discuss some ways to make more positive influential entertainment.
