With immigration raids on the rise, a growing number of their children are faced with family separation, school disruptions, economic hardship, and psychological trauma. The unexpected workplace raids constitute enormous challenges for communities, school systems, child care providers, social service agencies and religious institutions that without warning have to act as first responders for substantial numbers children that are being left without care. “On-the-Line” with CWLA’s guests call attention to the harmful effects of the sweeping immigration raids and the urgent need for a more humane immigration policy that focuses on protecting children and keeping families united while still enforcing the law.
