Carolyn writes in her bio: I am 48 years old from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I was conclusively diagnosed with Cushing's, February 9, 2010. I had the transsphenoidal surgery, April 13, 2010. My Endocrinologist thinks I had the disease only a year or two but I think my Cushing's goes back many, many years. Since my mid twenties I started developing the symptoms: hips, thighs and arms thinning while gaining more and more belly fat. A red moon face and rosacea. Hair loss on my head while at the same time growing a mustache. I had anxiety, depression, even post dramatic stress. I developed insulin resistance with high blood pressure and triglycerides. MId twenties was the last time I saw a good night sleep... This website has been a "God Send" for me. I think I know more about Cushing's then many doctors now because of it. And I find much strength and encouragement when reading about others experiences."
