#Nomakeupchallenge and more with Isabella Gaines!

Isabella Gaines is the 17 year old daughter of Matt and Gaye Gaines of Wilmington NC, and sister to her little brother Brooks Kennedy. Isabella is the reigning Miss Goldsboro’s Outstanding Teen 2016. In June, of this year, she placed in the top 5, finishing 4th RU out of 41 gorgeous and talented teens at Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen 2016 In 2015, as Miss Greater Port City’s Outstanding Teen, Isabella set the Internet on fire when she refused to be bullied by an anonymous online predator. Her positive message resonated with the entire Miss North Carolina sisterhood, as well as, the entire Miss America sisterhood, including the then reigning, Miss America, Kira Kazantsev. This movement suddenly exploded overnight across social media, which today is known as the “NoMakeUpSelfie” campaign. Isabella’s response to a personal attack on her physical appearance on Twitter inspired others to stand by her by posting their own, with and without, makeup pictures/selfies. Isabella’s story went viral and has been published in over 10 countries and in 6 languages. She has been featured on The Today Show, Seventeen, Time, Us Weekly, Teen Vogue, The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and many others. This has given Isabella the opportunity to create her own personal platform “The NoMakeUpSelfie Network" where she speaks publically to kids in open forums and schools about the importance to love each other without judging, showing kindness, and she encourages these kids/teens to take a pledge to stand up against any type of bullyiny and to stand up for those that do not have the courage to stand up for themselves. Isabella is an accomplished dancer beginning at 18 months of age and now has over 15 years of experience and is currently a member of the Extreme Competition Dance Team at Evolution Dance Complex.
