After years of chairside dental hygiene practice, Carol found herself with some time on her hands and her inlaws in nursing homes. Although she was a dental hygienist she was intimidated about taking care of their teeth. She couldn’t practice dental hygiene without a dentist present. Or could she. Today Carol is a team member of HyLife, LLC a group of dental hygienists who are independent contractors who provide oral care to residents in long term care.
