After an aggressive initial campaign by the Nazi's, the British led allied forces were beaten and on the run. Following the disastrous events throughout Europe, Winston Churchill addressed the House of Commons. In his speech he re-enforced the obvious reality that Britain stood alone to repeal the Nazi advancement. Churchill called for a higher resolve on the part of the British people to rise up against the spreading darkness. He concluded his speech with these words: "Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'" Today, we Americans face an equally evil threat. However, this threat is not foreign but domestic. Our own federal government has risen up against God, the States, the constitution, and the people. They are completely out of control and if their is any hope for liberty, we must bind them in chains once again. "The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." -Thomas Jefferson Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that so that life and liberty will granted to our children and grandchildren, so that they will still say of us, 'This was their finest hour.' This could be our finest hour if we would submit to God and resolve to stand for the eternal principles of Christ! "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty." -Thomas Jefferson "And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts." -Psalm 119:45 "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." -2 Corinthians 3:17
