Why does it still appear that the Obama administration continues to maintain “Yellow Alert?” I also discuss the nature of the political discourse between the Democrats, Republicans and our pal, Barry, with regard to the Tax cut/spending bill they’ve concocted. In related news, the federal government’s authority to spend money will expire on Dec 31, 2010 and an Omnibus spending bill must be passed. But the sticking point is that both Republicans and Democrats have added “earmarks” or special spending packages to the bill although the Republicans, stung by criticism from fiscal conservatives this past election year, face severe scrutiny if they support such a bill.
