President Obama delivered his sixth State of the Union Address last night.  Was he truthful when he said "The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong."

Critical Conversation's host Lisa Ruth and Communities Digital News senior editor and economist Dr. Jim Picht will discuss the State of the Union, President Obama's address and Congresswoman Jodi Ernst's Republican Response.

From the State of the Union to State's Rights, panelists Attorney James Edwards and national writer and Communities journalist Al Maurer, of Colorado, will be talking state's rights - the legal issue, not the social. Colorado is being sued by adjoining states over their legalization of marijuana. Appellate courts are wavering on states rights when it comes to federally mandated rights to abortion.  Can a state say that "gay marriage" is not legal, while an adjoining state says it is?

Join Critical Conversations, a production of Communities Digital News and the Communities Digital News Hour on Blog Talk Radio every thursday, 6:30pm EST and join the live show that will then be available On Demand.
