The White House says a terrorist is not a radical Islamist.  Do you agree? If you were a Muslim, how would you feel about having your life reduced to being a reflection of the actions of those who would choose to do evil in the name of religion. How do the actions of Kouchi borthers, or the Tsarnaevs, ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and other extremists affect those who peacefully follow an ages old religion?

Critical Conversations hosts Lisa Ruth and Jim Picht welcomes Rahat Husain, a writer on contemporary and international issues. In addition to writing for the Communities,  Husain is an Attorney based in the Washington DC area and  Director of Legal and Policy Affairs at UMAA Advocacy. For the past six years, Mr. Husain has worked with Congressmen, Senators, federal agencies, think tanks, NGOs, policy institutes, and academic experts to advocate on behalf of Shia Muslim issues, both political and humanitarian.

The second half of the show will include Terry Ponick, Business Editor for Communities Digital News talking with Lisa and Jim about the markets wild ride over the last 15 days and what we can expect in the near, and not so near, future.

Critical Conversations features the writers and editors of Communities Digital News talking about the headlines and the people making them. Thursdays at 6:30pm EST then available On Demand.

Listen here live at 6:30pm, EST Thursday and then available On Demand.
