BLACK GIRLS IGNITE Africa! Inc. is dedicated to the empowerment, encouragement, celebration and healthy development of young and older African women and girls. We are also dedicated to empowering and honouring exceptional girls and women around Africa who stand as inspirational and positive role models; also empowering women across the globe, BLACK GIRLS IGNITE Africa

Abby Osoba is Founder & Chief Executive Officer for Black Girls Ignite Africa, the leading non-profit organization creating lasting change in the lives of many girls and women all across Africa.

As CEO, Abby has called attention to the urgent need for Black Girls Ignite Africa and other organizations – public, private, nonprofit and for-profit – to cooperate and share their resources and expertise for the benefit of the African children, girls and women. She has also emphasized the need to use social media and new technology to extend the organization’s reach and fully engage with Black Girls Ignite Africa’s employees, volunteers, beneficiaries, donors, partners and others around the world.

To this end, she launched her own Business Enterprise Network “ Creative Circle” and is committed to employing social media to extend BGIA’s reach, building on such successes as its Twitter-based campaign to reach people to raise awareness of BGIA in Africa. She can also be found on Twitter @BGIAinfo.
