Many of us don't know it but it is estimated that that 400,000 females aged 15-49 were raped over a 12-month period in 2006 and 2007 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. That is about 48 women per hour and sadly the number is growing! Can you imagine the trauma they live with? Sadly, this has been going on for many years. Join me as I interview Mboyo Djweya. He was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is a lab technician in biotech and has lived in the US for 32 years. He recently visited his home to distribute clothes, medicine, and food with his non-profit organization, called Congo United Fund. He is endeavoring to build a school and clinic in the Congo. Gain a fresh perspective as he enlightens us about the plight of these women, other atrocities and gives us an opportunity to help lift the burden of our brothers and sisters.
