Curtis Steele, Memphis RB - Player Spotlight

The 2008 Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, ran for 1,223 yards in his junior season coming from Northwest Mississippi Community College. A knee injury slowed Steele down limiting him to just 13 carries over a four-game stretch heading into Saturday. But against UTEP the senior broke out with a career day, rumbling for 240 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries. He also caught two passes for 10 yards and another score, giving him 250 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns on the day.
