During this live episode of the Code Red! radio show, host Alfred McComber's guests will include Kiersten Stewart, Public Policy Director with the Family Violence Prevention Fund based in San Franciso, CA.

Kiersten is dropping by the show to discuss the fact that during the week of February 14th, 2011, the U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to consider funding levels for all federal programs including programs that assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to make drastic cuts for Fiscal Year 2011 and this will greatly impact programs that help protect women and children from violence and abuse.

Kiersten will talk about some of these programs and share exactly how you can become involved to help preserve these important programs.

Also on the broadcast, regular Code Red! radio show contributor, Paul Purcell, the very well-known Emergency Preparedness Expert and author of the book, "Disaster Prep 101-The Ultimate Guide To Emergency Readiness."

Paul will be stopping by the show live to discuss, "Cold Weather Survival & Preparedness."

Later in the show, Glenn Luedtke, Chair of the EMS Safety Course Committee with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians will visit the show to talk about the association's brand new EMS Safety Course for EMS Practitioners that will debut in Baltimore, MD on March 1, 2011.

This brand new course is designed to help promote a culture of EMS & first responder safety and also help reduce the number and intensity of injuries incurred by EMS practitioners in carrying out their work. The course aims to increase students’ awareness and understanding of EMS safety standards and best practices and develop their ability to effectively implement these practices when on duty.
