#208: Kristen Butler, Head Coach, University of Toledo.  Starting this Friday, Toledo will play in the JMU Dukes Invitational and will face Robert Morris, Saint Joseph's (2x), host James Madison University and Binghamton.  Coach Butler is in her second season at the helm in Toledo.  UT recorded higher batting averages, sligging percentages, home runs, stolen bases and other power numbers that landed her team in the Toledo record books.  The 2015 squad ranks second all-time in runs (231), RBIs (197) and stolen bases (105), third all-time in home runs (25) and fourth all-time in slugging percentage (.377). Butler came to Toledo after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Charleston Southern, focusing primarily on pitching and catching duties. In 2014, Charleston Southern went to NCAA Regionals, and won the Big South Tournament. One of her pitchers, Cheyenne Gandara was named the MVP of the tournament. She joined the CSU coaching staff in September of 2012 after previously coaching at Mississippi Valley State and the University of Florida.Rockets TwitterRockets FacebookTCRS TwitterTCRS Facebook.
