Struggling learners come in all forms - diagnosed and undiagnosed. Join Vangie as she opens up our discussion of Homeschooling Children with Special Needs to include children with learning disabilities, special needs and "hidden disabilities."

Listen in as Vangie interviews Kathy Kuhl. Kathy began homeschooling in 1997, after years trying to help her son succeed in school despite learning and attention problems. After homeschooling him for grades 4-12, she interviewed 64 homeschoolers for her book, Homeschooling Your Struggling Learner, a handbook for parents of children with learning challenges. Staying Sane as You Homeschool is her second book. Coming this spring is her third book, Encouraging Your Child.

Kathy helps parents by giving private consultations by phone or in person. She gives workshops internationally at homeschool conventions and support groups. She promotes homeschooling by speaking at national conferences of patient advocacy organizations and writing.
