Do you like the music of J.S. Bach, Mozart, Haydn and other revered composers? If so, then you may be able to use their examples of 7th chords to help you find your way around the piano.  What about new music?  We'll talk about that too.  We'll do a light analysis of 7th chords as used in tonal music.  You'll be expected to write down, name and spell basic 7th chords.  In the words of one of our resources, "the old is...absorbed into the new".  One music borrows from another.  We'll explore the construction of seventh chords and how to write inversions.  In the past we've talked about the use of blue notes, i.e. 3rd, 5th and 7th notes.  We'll cover major and minor chord types in this podcast episode.  See you then!
