Episode 44: Marissa Young, Head Coach of Duke University Softball, makes her first appearance as the co-host for Clutch Play Radio. Young will co-host EVERY MONDAY at 11AM Eastern to recap the previous week and preview the upcoming week for Blue Devils Softball during the 2021 season.  In the shortened 2020 season, Duke finished with a 23-4 record, including a nine-game win streak to open the month of March, and received its first national ranking at No. 25 in the final ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll.  During the 2019 campaign, the Blue Devils won four ACC series, including a sweep on the road at Georgia Tech. Young coached Peyton St. George to her second ACC honor as the sophomore was named to the All-ACC Second Team after turning in a 1.83 ERA in league play. Guiding her players to success both on and off the field, George, Jameson Kavel, Kristina Foreman and Deja Davis were all All-ACC Academic Team selections.  Prior to Duke, Young spent two years on the staff at North Carolina, served as an assistant coach at Eastern Michigan and was the head coach at Concordia University.  Coach Young Twitter, Duke Softball Twitter, Duke Softball Facebook, Duke Softball IGClutch Play Radio TwitterClutch Play Radio Facebook
