In this episode, the Clarkie-Connection takes a real sobering and hard look at the legacy of our first African-American president - what his administration has accomplished, whether it still 'matters', what it can yet accomplish in the time remaining and what his legacy might be.

Second, we will turn an unfiltered eye to the overall state of education in America.  During what is now considered graduation season - for higher education as well as primary and secondary schools - we will examine public education support and performance - particularly in neighborhoods with people of color, which tend to me the most challenged or at risk.  We will have a free-flowing discussion about the continuing educational gap between wealthier and poorer neighborhood schools and the educational reform movement, including the role of charter schools and their evolution into a proverbial hot political football.

Lastly, we will take time out to reflect on the loss of some notable celebrities we lost this past month.  So, join the mighty Clarkie-art players for a passionate, powerful program on Saturday, 28 June, at 7 p.m.!  Callers are welcome!  So, until then....
