PRAY OR FIGHT: Are we suppose to Debate the Bible?

There seems to be some confusion on whether we should debate the bible. Some feel like if a pastor or teacher is in error we should not "put our mouth on them" but pray for them daring not to question what is being taught because they're anointed and called and the sheep are not. Other's say we should contend against false teaching and teachers with force like combatants. Should we care if the Gospel message of Christ is delivered accurately or "chew the meat spit out the bones". Not a day goes by on Social Media somebody is offended or outraged by some teaching and they express their concern or outrage, only to be attacked by followers of that preacher. Or some people say all some people do is attack preachers and their teachings. So how do we handle it?
