Dr. Kechia Seabrooks Rowles is the Director of Athletics/Athletic Trainer for Rockdale County Public Schools, in Conyers, GA. An Albany, GA native and a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Bachelor’s in Health Science/Athletic Training, Rowles received her Master’s in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Doctorate in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy. Prior to coming to Rockdale County Public Schools, Rowles worked as Head Athletic Trainer for a number of schools in both Georgia and Alabama. Rowles is responsible for the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of injuries for all student-athletes in the district. She also works diligently to ensure all safety measures and policies adhere to Local, State, and National guidelines. She serves on the GHSA Diversity Committee and previously served on the GHSA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. Rowles created the RCPS Student Athletic Aide Program for students interested in pursuing careers in Sports Medicine. Her passion for education and sports led her to research motivational factors of student-athletes’ efforts in the classroom and in their athletic endeavors. She has presented to numerous groups on strategies and tips to help athletes become more knowledgeable of the requirements to achieve academic success.
