A Chat in the Garden with Monique A.J. Smith

Tiana Williams is currently the Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Sponsorships and Fan Engagement at Howard University. In this role, she is responsible for finding and securing corporate partners by implementing a robust sponsorship program. Additionally, Williams assists with marketing and special event planning, alumni and fan engagement, and oversight of the men’s and women’s tennis programs.

Before Howard, Williams served as the Director of Promotions, Game-Day Operations, and Event Management for Sacred Heart (SHU). In this role, she was responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating game-day operations and event management needs for the University and supervising athletic operations technicians and work-study staff. Williams also assisted in developing marketing and promotional plans for all 32 varsity sports while re-vitalizing the department’s student fan group. When she wasn’t serving as the show producer, Williams doubled the number of corporate sponsor for the department.
