The Nets fittingly announced Kyrie Irving would miss the 2019-20 NBA season with shoulder surgery on the morning he was supposed to make his return to TD Garden. Irving has played sparingly due to shoulder issues this year and since he left Boston, the two teams have launched in separate directions. The Celtics have won two of three in the season series. Kemba Walker is available to play for the first time since before the break, and Jayson Tatum will likely sit with an illness.
