As part of the "What Books Sound Like" Series we present authors from around the world as they read excerpts from their books.

The words come from the mind of the authors -- spoken from their hearts.

From "God’s Monster to the Devil’s Angel" by Pacc Butler on "What Books Sound Like."

Listen and live through the words of a man raised on the streets of Chicago.  (Discretion is advised, as some of this will be too harsh for some listeners.) The truth is sometimes more painful than a lie.

Pacc Butler is a national award-winning author who was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He travels the country speaking to at risk youth, students, and members of the community.

He is the 2014 winner of In The Margins Book Award.

Pacc Butler is currently working on a documentary that focuses on Chicago entitled, “Young Bulls."
