Writers Fight Cancer

   Margaret L. Turley, RN and Linda Radke, founders of Writers Unite to Fight Cancer, will be my guests on this show.  Margaret, retired nurse, devotes her time to writing books and blogging.  She has authored Save the Child a faction book highlighting incidents where parents and pediatric patients refused to comply with doctors' orders.  The book explores parent's rights to make decisions for their children's health care. 

  Linda Radke, owner of Five Star Publications, has authored several prize-winning books including the Economical Guide to Self Publishing (2010 Paris Book Festival first-place winner in the 'how to' category and a Writer's Digest Book Club selection).

  We will discuss their efforts to raise money for cancer research and cancer victims.  Highlighted will be a free workshop Writing Your Passiona, to be held at Phoenix Bookmans August 3, 2010.  A portion of the profit from each book sold will be donated to the Brent and Minday Shurteff family of Queen Creek, Arizona.  Brent is a young father of six who has Thyoma, cancer of the thymus gland.
