Family Constellations

A recently developed process called Family Constellations is changing our perspective on illnesses and chronic problems that resist other remedies.  Left-over loyalties to unresolved events or issues in your birth family’s past can shape your life for better or for worse.  The most recent two to three generations of your family form a coherent system. What we’ve learned is that the needs of the group come before the well-being of individual members—especially if the system had to survive immigrations, depressions, wars, or similar upheavals.  It’s something like cross-generational teamwork.  So, if your grandparents could not deal with something serious, you may be holding that disturbance for the family.  In short, sometimes it’s the family system that’s sick, and the illness isn’t yours.  Or the family system’s stuck, and you are just the one expressing it.

Dr. Michael Reddy, a Ph.D. wellness coach and constellation practitioner, will be with us next week to explain more.  Developed 25 years ago in Germany, he points out, and growing now worldwide at a great rate, Family Constellations reveal and re-align these hidden loyalties.  So that, you, as a child or grandchild, no longer identify blindly with the difficulties of those who came before.   This process is relatively brief, inexpensive, and easy to explore.  Many people are having the eye-opening experience of suddenly seeing and letting go of suffering they are holding on to literally out of love for their family.

Carol the Coach will be interviewing Dr. Reddy as he talks about his ground breaking work with Family Constellations. Find out how Dr. Reddy applied this to his own life and healed from his own family past!
