Over ten years ago, I began designing one of kind handbags. Each pattern is cut from acrylic artwork on canvas. By combining fine art and fashion design, wearable artwork came to fruition.

After learning more about Cheryl Ash-Simpson and her personal story captured in the documentary Sunshine, Noodles and Me,  I was compelled to create an art piece that would reflect her passion, dignity and commitment to celebrate life. The art piece painted is titled “Doorway to Recovery”.  Strength has been translated through warm colors and the vibrant pink brush strokes emphasize bold and beautiful.   This art piece is a symbol of a doorway to recovery and a pathway to perseverance. My goal is to continue to encourage and inspire others with my artwork.

Throughout our lives we all have to take the first step towards happiness, healthiness, courage, love and peace of mind. We all have to enter a “Doorway” in order to start any and every personal journey.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible for me as an artist to create this paintingon behalf of Sunshine, Noodles and Me! I am truly honored to be a part of such an amazing and inspirational event.
