WHO'S WORRIED ABOUT ENEMIES - WHEN THERE IS FAMILY

Do we perhaps place too much importance and expectations on our family members? 

In Matthew 12:50 Jesus spoke these words: 

"For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother".

I have listened and observed friends and strangers empty their heart over the pain caused by a family member.  I for sure have had my share of family conflicts but as of recent there seems to be a war on the family causing an epidemic that makes it difficult to trust anyone to include family members. 

There is this old saying if you can’t trust your family...... Who Can You Trust?

Father against son

Mother against daughter

Sister against sister

Brother against brother

What did Jesus mean in Matthew 12 50

Should we use Matthew 12 50 as a model in determining who is family?

Has the family structure lost its purpose and value?

Who should we consider family?

Is there a difference between a relative and a family member?
