NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

Butterfly Evolution welcomes Author Rodney Jordan back to the show!

TIRED OF BEING BLACK offers a fresh perspective on the struggles and stereotypes of the black race from a man who personified most of them growing up but then turned his life around to become a school teacher, a basketball coach and a positive role model to hundreds of students and athletes. Yet there are some that expect Rodney to speak a certain way, to dress a certain way and to be a father to many but a husband to none.

In his literary work, Jordan draws heavily from his experiences growing up in an urban area largely defined by drugs, violence, teen pregnancy, and welfare.  Jordan disrespected and rebelled against all authority figures in his life which led to him being forced out of his mother's home at the age of twelve.  Tired of being Black exposes negative stereotypes that Black Males like the young Rodney Jordan often perpetuate through their actions, reactions and lack of actions.

Men and Women of all races, grab as many young people as possible and join us Monday Febraury 17th at 8PM CST. Listen by calling 818-691-7406 or by selecting this link.
