Bringing the Word to Life " An Example to Our Children"

When Christ speaks of being an example, He clearly lets us know that what we have seen him do, is expected of those that call themselves a believer. The bible teaches us that as leaders, we lead by example and that followers will become what they see. Have you ever considered that if God would allow us to be leaders to those outside of the home, that he would expect us to be great leaders and examples inside of our homes? Our children are watching us, mimicking us, and interpreting everything we do through their understanding. What does our attitude, actions, speech and choices say to our children? Does the manner in which we treat them, teach them the love, grace and chastisement of God towards us? Do we treat out children with the care, wisdom and mercy that God treats us? Let’s take a look into the Word of God and see how we can be better examples for the young, impressionable lives that depend on us for molding.  Training up a child in the way they should go is more than teaching religious traditions, its teaching them the character and love of Jesus Christ.
