Today I will recap the elements of a midnight experience.  Yesterday, I said that God will not have you have a midnight experience without a midnight breakthrough.  The midnight experience is the preparation God uses to reveal Himself at the time of the midnight breakthrough.  Midnight experiences are punctuated with pain, doubt, fear, long-suffering, rejection by others, slander, and cruelty.  A believer is often tempted to say that God is not involved in the midnight experience.  Paul and Silas followed the footsteps ordered by Jesus.  There was a clear path to Philippi and God wanted to do extraordinary ministry in the city which was the greatest of all of the cities in Macedonia.  God is not limited.  Persecution arose to hinder Paul and Silas, but Jesus performed extraordinary works in order that all could see the midnight breakthrough.  Jesus is Lord!
