In Job Chapter 2, there is a continuation of the satanic attacks that began in Chapter 1.  Job has not cursed God even when there has been destruction of his family and his possessions.  In Chapter 2, Satan is yet accusing Job before God.  In this manner, Satan has suggested that Job only serves God because he has not suffered an affliction in his faith.  God allows satan to touch the flesh of Job.  Job is struck with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.  So extreme was his physical condition that he took a piece of potsherd to scrape his wounds,  Job's condition was brought about because he was walking uprightly and blamelessly before the Lord.  We tend to think that God punishes us because we are sinful.  There is a judgment reserved for those that are continually evil before the Lord.  However, in the life of the believer that is walking upright, sometimes the jealousy and accusations of satan will be proven wrong.  In that instance, the God of our salvation and the believer will have victory.
