Matters of the Heart

Proverbs 4:23 provides that "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life".  The heart is mentioned in the Bible at least one thousand times.  The heart has a significant influence on our spiritual life, as well as what we act out every day.  The heart is the seat and core of what comes out of the mouth.  The heart acts with our intellect to make decisions.  The heart influences how we feel and if we love or not.  My point is that if we can understand our heart as God wants it to be, then we will lead a more peaceful and successful life.  I became curious about the heart and so I wanted to explore some aspects of the heart with you today.
