In John 8:1-8, Jesus has decided to intervene or INTERCEDE for the woman that was accused by the scribes and Pharisees of committing an act of adultery. Even though deemed the church leaders of that time, the scribes and Pharisees were unable to effectuate the leadership influence that would be used to draw and retain the respect and appeal from the masses. Jesus was successful when He defeated their attempts to discredit and demean him publicly over and over again through different methods. Particularly in this instance, Jesus used humility and discretion to defeat false accusations or maybe just accusations that could not be substantiated.
