Host David Cleinman welcomes Carolyn Steele to the show!  Carolyn was born and bred in London, England and now lives in Kitchener, Ontario.  After completing a postgraduate degree in Psychology she defected to the real world and spent ten years driving an ambulance around London’s seedier quarters. She has also earned her living teaching CPR to nightclub bouncers, proofreading accountancy exams, copy editing for not-for-profit organisations and decorating wedding cakes. These days she is a writer of copy, websites and narrative non-fiction. She has managed to turn an inability to stick with one job for very long into a series of forays into daft occupations in case there is an interesting book to be had.

Her first book, A Year on Planet Alzheimer came out in 2004 and is available from Amazon in print and Kindle form. She has spent the intervening years emigrating and getting her hands dirty. Her forthcoming book, Trucking in English, follows her adventures driving 18 wheelers through Canada and the US and is almost complete. Sneak peeks are available as podcasts on her blog http://truckingtales.com. The great emigration tale will be next.
