Struggcon Inc.: Restore; Reclaim; Rebuild!

This week we feature Struggcon, Inc., a Brooklyn NY based not-for-profit that works with reentry populations.  Miss Arianna will be our special guest host interviewing Joe Smith, Tanya Williams and Bill Council of Struggcon.

As a people, as minorities, we find ourselves in a peculiar position, i.e., at any given time any one of us may find ourselves reentering or needing to reenter "mainstream society" from one of life's many circumstantial setback.  Struggcon's primary focus is pluralistic; they help people who are released from prison/incarceration and simultaneously work to keep others from going to prison.  Prevention is the only sure solution that will remedy the staggering amounts of our people who become commodities in this "Prison Economy!"  Can a few of us really make a difference? Will our people awake to see and recognize "the set-up?"

Our goals are to save lives and empower people by raising their levels of consciousness!  We must realize that whether or not our Struggle Continues, those cycles of oppression - discrimination- and racism, has and will!  We have the power to replace self-destruction with self-determination -- so let's do it!
