DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable with Dr. Jack Kem, the Deputy to the Commander, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan. Kem will talk about a key enabler to a successful and self-sustaining Afghan National Security Force-Professional Military Education at the Afghan Defense University. The physical site for the Afghan Defense University is approximately 20 percent complete, but many of the institutions and programs that will migrate to ADU upon its completion already exist, including the National Military Academy of Afghanistan and a comprehensive literacy program. Kem will share how ADU will unite the professional military education opportunities for the ANSF in one premiere location, which will include a Literacy Village, National Military Academy of Afghanistan, and Senior Service College. ADU represents not only NATO's enduring partnership with Afghanistan, but NTM-A's commitment to leader development and education for ANSF now and in the future.
