Bike In The Fast Lane Chicago - Episode 2

The Chicago Bike Lane program, now in its 21st year in existence, was the brain child of former Mayor Richard M. Daley who nurtured and guided the project to its present dimensions.  It was Mayor Daley’s articulated desire that Chicago become known as the most bike-friendly city in the nation.  The new mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, has enthusiastically embraced that goal and his administration has already authored some exciting initiatives designed to enhance the City's bicycling culture.

 BIKE IN THE FAST LANE CHICAGO stands ready to work with the City of Chicago and biking groups throughout the Chicagoland area to raise awareness of and appreciation for this wondrous and winding system of interlocking lanes, paths and trails.
