Black Bag Talks with Singer Nikki Barnett

One of our favorite shows is The Voice and although our guest has not been a contestant, she should be! Nikki Barnett has a beautiful, soaring contralto voice that wraps you in a warm hug and doesn't want to let you go. She can take a melody and make it haunting, soft, strong and memorable - all in a few minutes.  Known for her signature sound on Mosaic Harmony's song "One Humankind", she will perform straight ahead jazz, R&B, classic standards and put her twist on well known love songs accompanied by a three-piece band on Saturday, November 23 at 8pm with proceeds to benefit Mosaic Harmony.  Her opening act will be fellow Mosaic Harmony altos, Kala Payne and Kharma Amos.  Find out why we know her "Fall In Love" concert is the perfect Saturday night date here in the Washington metro area just before engagement season goes into full swing.  We got a sneak listen to her rehearsing a capella and can't wait for you to hear her rendition of one of her favorites (and ours too!)
