Micheal Ortiz : Grew up in ELA on the north side over in City Terrace and Boyle Heights. At the age of 19, he called out to God to remove him from the neighborhood and the life style of drug and alcohol addiction. Sensing death was knocking at the door of my life through either drugs or violence and never being in a gang but being around those that were. So within 3 months he moved from the neighborhood into a quiet peaceful area in South Montebello. Shortly after, he met my wife Valerie who at the time witnessed to me about being born again, that year was 1982

Valerie Ortiz : I was saved at a young age of 16, at the time I knew there was more to life then just partying and going out to night clubs, at age 12 I was already drinking and at age 14 going to night clubs so by the time I was 16 I was pretty tired, I remember telling God there has to be more to life then this, my girlfriends sister at the time invited me to Calvary Chapel in Downey, I was raised in Norwalk in a very nice area at the time, had everything I wanted, but still knew I needed something...never did drugs but drank quite a bit. so my girlfriends sister took me with her to Calvary Chapel and the 2nd time I went with her I went up to the altar and received the Lord
