Bi Talk Radio: Secret Survivors

Secret Survivors is an interview-based theater production featuring adult survivors of child sexual abuse from diverse backgrounds telling their true stories of survival and healing. Secret Survivors uses direct personal narrative to represent the diverse ways this violence occurs and grapple with the many reasons that most survivors remain silent. This project, which is part of an ongoing series of oral history theater works by Ping Chong & Company known as the Undesirable Elements series, was developed in NY in 2010-2011 and has been seen by nearly 1,000 people at theaters, museums, and conferences.

A 35-minute documentary is being created now and with a educational toolkit to accompany the live performance, with support from the Ms. Foundation for Women.
