Tonight's program and topic is a response to a request made by one of our listeners concerning prayer. The text is taken from St. Matthew 7:7-11. This passage deals with answered prayer, and begs the question, " Does God always answer our prayers?"

We will attempt, through the Blessed Holy Spirit, to bring knowledge, wisdom and discernment to this question.

As we anticipate this lesson and what we will get from it; I would like each of us to ask the following questions concerning our peitions unto the Lord.

(1) What are our motives for asking for the things that we do? (2) Do we intend to be a blessing to someone, through the blessing that we've received? (3) Is what we want in accordance with the will of God?
