Is The Dream Dead?

On the weekend eve of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday and also the week of my grandfather's birthday (1/22/16) I reflect upon one of my favorite photographs. Pictured are my grandfather and Dr. King walking arm in arm marching for opportunities that were only a dream at the time, but a reality for most of us today. Who would have thought that in this lifetime we would see an African-American president,a black female attorney general, and a combination of both as CEO's of major corporations. However, in recent years we have began to see race relations decline once again. I wonder if we can bounce back to a level of improvement or do we have to just pray and weather this storm out.
