In honor of the passing of my Dad, we will re air the show on a Coach and a Miracle. My sister has Cerebral Palsy and is a walking miracle and my Dad was my coach, mentor, role model and advisor. A parallel similar to Jason McElwain and Coach Jim Johnson. No matter how tough the situation, the miracle is in the person. Jason McElwain personified that miracles can happen. In his team’s final home g
ame of the season, McElwain, who is autistic and team manager for the Greece Athena High School
basketball team, entered the game with four minutes to go. It was his first and only appearance for the Athena varsity team in this Rochester suburb. The 5 foot-6inches manager hit six 3-point shots and a 2-pointer and was carried off the court on his teammates’ shoulders.
