Sports is worth $800 billion annually, and athletes are surrounded and influenced by coaches.

Coaches and trainers convince many athletes that by taking performance enhancing drugs it will take them to the next level. Drugs will help you recover from injury and fatigue much quicker.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency charged Lance Armstrong with doping this week, meaning he could lose his seven Tour de France titles. His lawyers immediately began attacking both the agency and the process it uses to punish athletes caught violating the World Anti-Doping
Code.

In 1992, while training at the USOC Training Center in Colorado Springs, Bob befriended the head sports physiologist. They discussed many aspects of testing and results of endurance athletes and had a conversation about testing done on Lance Armstrong prior to the Barcelona Olympics. Kaehler himself attests to significant errors that occurred when he was drug tested prior to the formation of the USADA.

Bob Kaehler a 3 time Olympian and 4 time World Champion rower will join us LIVE Wednesday September 26th LIVE at 7PM EDT on BEYONDtheCheers on blogtalkradio.  Join in the conversation to chat about substance abuse and testing for athletes. We will also discuss Bob’s own training and conditioning programs are used by many top athletic programs.
