Knowing the difference between DESIRE and LUST

Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of thine heart. KJV

 

People often consider  this passage to mean DESIRES as in STUFF.  However, the word DE SIRE in origin means "of the FATHER." That understanding gives us a clue to a GREATER understanding of DESIRES.

 

We must learn the DIFFERENCE between DESIRE of the HEART and LUST of the FLESH or MIND. 

 

DESIRE come from GOD. Our INNATE / INBORN / INHERENT DESIRES can be sourced to the FATHER. They are our individualized expression of HIM in the EARTH.

 

When we BE who we ARE and are free to CREATIVELY EXPRESS OUR GIFTS AND INCLINATIONS, IT GLORIFIES GOD.

 

Acts 17:24-28 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth… seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things… and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;… For in him we live, and move , and have our being ... KJV

 

Fulfilling our DESIRES are God's way of activating a CO-LABORING relationship with us. We are not just servants, but FRIENDS and PARTNERS  with HIM IN bringing 

 

HEAVEN TO EARTH.
