Don't Follow the Crowd

January is now the "designated" month for fasting. Entire churches now do the annual "corporate fast." And there is nothing wrong with that. However most things, including fasting "in bulk" may not be the most effective or beneficial time to persue God's undedivided attention.

Warren Buffett exemplified this principle as he applied a simular concept to investing... "Investors should remember that excitement is an enemy... they should be fearful when others are greedy and greedy only when others are fearful."

In other words, guard against doing things when other people are doing them. It is best to pay attention to the motion of activity and look for opportunities to LISTEN WHILE OTHERS ARE BUSY, and TAKE ACTION WHEN OTHERS ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO.

So if you are still "seeking God in January" along with the crowd remember, Real strategy seekers pursue God while everybody else was playing. They take action when others are thinking about it.
