Student Loans...  Are they necessary, or a form of indentured servitude for the new millenium?

Robert Applebaum is currently serving as the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of http://www.robertapplebaum.com, a progressive-leaning forum which seeks to unite people from all walks of life so as to find common ground on the pressing issues of the day, Robert Applebaum has over 15 years of experience in politics, campaigns, writing, advocacy and the law.

In January, 2009, frustrated by the debate over President Obama's proposed stimulus package, Robert Applebaum authored an essay entitled "Forgive Student Loan Debt to Stimulate the Economy" and posted it to a group by the same name that he created on Facebook. Little did he realize at the time that his essay would spark a genuine grassroots movement that seeks to help current and former students buried under mounds of intractable student loan debt. Today, there are nearly 300,000 supporters of the movement and he's been featured in dozens of national and international news pieces about the initiative, all of which can be found here: http://www.forgivestudentloandebt.com/publicity.

Energized by the success of the student loan forgiveness movement he started, Robert Applebaum is currently embarked on a new career trajectory in new media, opinion making and politics. In addition to his work regarding student loan reform, he is the host of "The Robert Applebaum Show" on Shared Sacrifice Media, a budding author and blogger at http://www.robertapplebaum.com.
