The Vidocq Society a crime solving organization or think tank, if you will, is comprised of an elite group of forensic professionals and private citizens who donate scientific talents as a public service to help solve homicide cases gone cold, . 

They meet in a social setting to discuss unsolved crimes. They are crime solution catalysts. After having a case presented to them by law enforcement or the victims families,the members of the society meet to decide which case they are going to take on.
 
Fred A. Bornhofen is The Vidocq Society's Chairman and Case Management Director and a former director of security for an international energy company. He is the head of Frederick A. Bornhofen Associates. His firm specializes in product counterfeiting and product diversion that meets the needs of the federal government and major corporations. In addition, Bornhofen is an expert witness in security-related matters.
